Peppered Cheese Ball


2 c. (8 oz.) grated Monterey Jack cheese
8 oz. cream cheese at room temperature
1 t fines herbes
1 t minced chives or scallions
1 t Worcestershire sauce
1 garlic clove, crushed
2-3 T seasoned pepper

  1. in medium bowl, combine all ingredients except seasoned pepper
  2. shape cheese mixture into a 5-inch ball, slightly flatten one side
  3. place 12" square of wax paper on flat surface and spread seasoned pepper in an even thick layer on paper
  4. roll cheese ball in pepper until completely covered
  5. refrigerate 6 hours or overnight

Serve with fresh fruit slices or crackers.

Cheese ball can be stored in refrigerator several days before serving.
